Presentation Title:

Epidermolysis bullosa: A challenge in anesthetic management regarding a case

Abstract

We present the case of a 33-year-old female with a history of epidermolysis bullosa and a diagnosis of right ovarian teratoma, requiring a surgical approach for resection. It was required to administer balanced general anesthesia with nasal intubation by fiberoscopy according to the patient’s clinical conditions. This case highlights the importance of pre-operative assessment, operating room conditioning, and anesthetic planning to manage patients with rare pathologies effectively.
