Solidarity: Value or Anti-value? In the management of hematoncological patients. Bioethical analysis of a case
Abstract
In this study, the dilemma is raised in appreciating “Solidarity” as an aspect of the character of each individual, which depending on their value system can become a Value or an Anti-Value according to the results. Purpose: Analyze the bioethical aspects of medical-health personnel in relation to Solidarity as a Value or Anti-Value in the care of hematoncological patients. For this, a case will be presented for bioethical analysis, whose data will remain confidential at the express request of the patient's relatives. . ; It starts from confronting the perspective of the term Solidarity from the intervening factors; It is necessary to take into account that the research question cannot be limited only to a methodological perspective, but rather involves the combination of human, social, scientific and economic factors that lead research along the path of deconstructing the current to build a approach. multidimensional pluralism of what is understood until today as an ethical value. Methodological Construction: The research is carried out from the paradigm of Complexity; Two moments of study were proposed; The first moment is developed, with a Phenomenological – Hermeneutic approach, the analytical deconstruction of the ethical principles in the practice of health personnel, to which an open interview is carried out; The second moment describes the clinical case with a quantitative, observational and descriptive approach. Findings: In the presentation of the case, there are great difficulties in clarifying the facts and subsequently establishing responsibilities associated with the health personnel, the “solidarity and fraternity among the nursing staff” hinders the process, by not providing the records of the security incident. Discussion: In the resolution of bioethical conflicts in the health sector, it is necessary to review the paradigm under which they are currently viewed and, based on applied ethics, arrive at a multifactorial and multidimensional analysis of each incident, to achieve prevention of the same. future; It is about changing the "who was it?", for the "how did it happen?", why and how did it happen? and in this way begin the path to understanding a phenomenon that produces the development of institutional strategies that favor interdisciplinary communication, without hiding errors that compromise patient safety. Conclusions: In education and training we have the possibility of humanizing health personnel, starting with the most basic ethical knowledge and thus achieving exemplary conduct in professional practice, which can balance the system of values and anti-values that coexist in each individual.
