Title: Intersectoral actions and positive health outcomes in areas of poverty in São Paulo/ Brazil

Abstract

In areas of high social vulnerability, there are gaps in scientific knowledge about the development of intersectoral health actions by Primary Health Care professionals. Knowing the constitutive elements of partnerships that make up positive health outcomes is essential to serve as a model for the implementation of intersectoral collaborations in related areas. Studying areas of high vulnerability is challenging, but it can support intersectoral actions to tackle existing social inequalities. This research explores the relationship between the core constituents of intersectoral collaborations and the positive outcomes of intersectoral actions in areas of high social vulnerability in São Paulo, Brazil. these actions. 
This study employed methodological triangulation and the sequential explanatory strategy of the mixed method. The bivariate analysis showed that the creation of healthy habits and environmental improvements were associated with the central components of intersectoral partnerships. The content analysis presented steps to elaborate the actions and arrive at the results from the central elements. The integration of the results explained how the results related to the actions were elaborated, considering the central elements of the collaborative processes. Partners negotiate with patients or communities to adhere to the care provided through the collaborative process.
However, they recognized that they needed to evaluate proposed actions on a regular basis.

Biography

Patricia Bezerra has been a nurse for over 23 years and has managed primary care units for over 15 years. She has a Ph.D. in Health Sciences, a Master's Degree in Health, Society, and Endemic Diseases in the Amazon, and a Post-Graduate Degree in Management in Health Care Networks, Informatics in Health and Family Health. 
She develops studies in primary health care integrating different research methods and techniques.
