Biography

Maria Celeste Nessier is a doctoral candidate in politics and government at the Catholic University of Córdoba, Argentina. She holds a specialist degree in epidemiology from the National University of Rosario, a master of science in nutrition from INTA, University of Chile, and a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the National University of Córdoba. She is a graduate of the PAHO/WHO International Health Leaders Program and the PAHO/WHO Professional Program for advanced training in management epidemiology, delivered in collaboration with the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She serves as a research professor at the University of Flores, coordinates the food environments area at the Alejandro O’Donnell Center for child nutrition studies, and works with the epidemiology department of the Santa Fe Food Safety Agency, Ministry of Health of the Province of Santa Fe, Argentina.

Research Interest

Her research focuses on nutritional epidemiology, food environments, and public health policy, with particular emphasis on child nutrition, food safety, and population-level interventions. She is especially interested in the integration of epidemiological evidence into health governance and decision-making processes.
