Biography

Emma Rachmawati has completed her doctoral degree in public health from Universitas Indonesia. She is a full-time lecturer in the public health program at both the faculty of health sciences and the graduate school of Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA in Jakarta, Indonesia. She also serves as the vice chair IV for public health at the Majlis Pembinaan Kesehatan Umum (MPKU) of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah. Muhammadiyah is a faith-based organization (FBO) that operates hundreds of hospitals and clinics across Indonesia. Her research primarily focuses on patient safety, health promoting hospitals, tobacco control, and issues related to education and nutrition management in communities. Additionally, she is an active reviewer for both national and international journals.

Research Interest

Public health, patient safety, health-promoting hospitals, tobacco control, community nutrition management, and health education. Her work emphasizes strengthening health systems and promoting preventive healthcare within faith-based and community settings
